EAT to REACH your goals!

Hey there, welcome back to our new blog! If you've clicked on this article, you most likely have some interest in learning more on how to properly fuel your body. Luckily, you have BB here to give you some quick nutrition tips that are sure to help you get started in the right direction.

READ ON FOR SOME COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS WE GET IN THE CAFE:

#1 "WHAT'S THE HEALTHIEST BOWL FOR ME TO ORDER?"

Before we can answer this, we first need to know what healthy looks like to *YOU*! Are you looking for low-calorie? Low-sugar? High in protein? We have a variety of options available to suit your needs and our Bowlistas are happy to help provide some suggestions based on this information! "Healthy" looks different to everyone based on what they are looking for in their diet and we believe food choices should be on an individualized basis versus a "one size fits all" plan.

#2 "WHAT CAN I EAT THAT'S HIGH IN PROTEIN SO I CAN PROMOTE MUSCLE GROWTH?"

No joke... this might be our favorite question! Our cafe is jam-packed with plant-based protein sources. Although we have a whey (dairy-based) protein alternative, we believe in the POWER of plants and their abundance of nutrients. While our vegan and whey protein powders have the highest content per serving and can be ordered with 10, 20, or 30 grams of protein, we also have other great additions like chia seeds, hemp seeds, almonds, walnuts, peanut butter, cashew butter, and almond butter that will add an extra punch to your bowl.

#3 "WHAT CAN I ORDER WITH LOW SUGAR?"

Here at Bowl Boss we're all about promoting the consumption of *natural sugar* versus refined sugar! Natural sugar can be found in many of our foods like our fresh fruits and nuts and is responsible for bringing along essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals to the body that keep it healthy/prevent illness. Refined sugars are found in processed foods (yes...Nutella included...but hey, a little bit of fun is necessary!) and are typically the ones that are avoided when entering a low-sugar diet. However, if you are looking to reduce your natural sugar intake as well, we would suggest building your own bowl with any of the following ingredients: acai, buckwheat groats, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, coconut yogurt, cacao nibs, hemp seeds, almonds, walnuts, or any of our nut butters.

We hope you've found these tips helpful and fun to read! Nutrition is *WHAT WE DO* and we are here to help you succeed. Do you have a question that wasn't answered here? Comment below, ask us in store, or drop us a message through our contact page! Our nutritionist will answer you directly. :)
