Hey there, welcome to our new blog! We will be posting here regularly on a variety of topics from new specials to nutritional info to franchising updates, so be sure to check back often to stay up to date! But for now... we'd like to kick things off by re-introducing ourselves to those of you who may be new to our world of acai. Bowl Boss was founded in the summer of 2018 by mother and daughter Suzanne and Jenna Stanton under the name "Soul Bowl". In our first few months, we began selling mini-sized acai bowls at local farmer's markets before proceeding to open our first storefront in Clinton, NY that November.
It was in this space that we began to grow our presence in Central NY and share our love and dedication to high quality acai bowls with our customers. The Soul Bowl con-
cept was born from Jenna (daughter, 23) after suffering many years from her severe dairy allergy. She experienced a great amount of fear when dining out and unfortunately developed a mistrust with commercial kitchens after having numerous allergic reactions. Soul Bowl was essentially her dream of being able to walk into a restaurant, look at the menu, and choose virtually anything without feeling restricted or fearful. Since opening, we have expanded to our new, larger location in New Hartford, NY and our concept has proven its magical ability to conform to any guests' dietary or nutritional needs to give them a newfound "food freedom" they have not been able to experience before.
Fast forward to November 2020...mid-pandemic...Soul Bowl dropped a major announcement of our name change to BOWL BOSS and our new franchising opportunities! This was such an exciting announcement to make and the responses we received from our following was incredible. We are now pending our first franchised location to open in Rome, NY this fall of 2021 and we could NOT be more thrilled! We truly believe Bowl Boss has grown through Jenna and Sue's endless dedication to exceptional quality and service. When visiting our New Hartford location, be sure to keep an eye out for them and say hello as they can usually be found collaborating together in the cafe on new recipe ideas, taking care of our guests at the front counter, or enjoying a bowl of their own for lunch :) They are always up for a good conversation over some GOOD acai and would love to talk with you.
